Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? I’ve always been passionate about retro-gaming, but my first love was computers rather than consoles — the ZX81, then the Commodore 128. I only really discovered the console world in the late 90s, which is when I got my very first Vectrex. Of course, I had seen it in stores back in 1983, but at that time it was far too expensive for me.  Today, I own five Vectrex systems at home. Vector-based games ...

Brotherhood United leaves no Vita trophies behind

Likely the up-next physical from PlayAsia, Brotherhood United was teased around a year ago, and then seemed to go quiet, even as it hit other consoles. That's probably as PlayAsia planned its slow-and-steady release roll out for the last Vita titles.

Update: Also a surprise last day PSN release, go check it out now! Costs £7.39 and weighs in at just 30MB.

Developed by Myoubouh, now the time must be near for these pixelly bros to sprint into action in the run and gun title as a trophy listing has appeared. A few searches suggest it is a really quick platinum while the official description says:

When a friend is captured, it’s up to the rest of the brotherhood to pick up their guns and take down the enemy army! In this pixelated action platformer, you’ll run, jump, shoot and dodge roll your way through the opposition to bring your buddy back. Customize your look with different options for hair, glasses, clothing, helmets and skin tone to look your best while blowing stuff up! Use all the guns and grenades at your disposal, and make sure that no partner gets left behind.

A cheap digital release, I'm not convinced of its value, even with those chunky bosses. But if you're a Vita collector, I guess we're in this to the bitter end.
