June Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Even lacking multiplayer on the Vita, its a great little power-up driven shooter. It should help get you prepped for ScourgeBringer, a roguelite title we were told wasn't coming to the Vita, but is now bringing portable violence our way including a physical release via Eastasiasoft.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world where a mysterious entity wreaked havoc on all humanity, ScourgeBringer puts players in the shoes of the deadliest warrior of her clan: Kyhra. Help her to explore the unknown and slash her way through ancient machines guarding the seal of her past, and maybe the redemption of humanity.

Flying Oak's Thomas Altenburger explained how it nearly didn't make it to Sony's ancient fistful of silicon...

Pre-orders go live for the physical release soon, with launched planned for April 22nd, and the game should hit PSN, whatever state that is in at the time.  Updated with the YouTube video...
