Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  Update: the Vectrex Kickstarter is live and blew past its first funding goal in ab out 15 minutes, and approaching £450K and 2,500 backers in its first day.   His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! I only really discovered the console world in the late 90s, which is when I got my very first Vectre...

Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen lands in May

Strategy RPG, part visual novel, Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen will hit PS4 and Vita with cross save on May 26 in America and on the 29th in Europe thanks to NIS America, probably the last sizeable publisher to release a game on the portable. A remake of a 2002 title, PSP owners got a go in 2009, but this is a major update with better visuals.

Here's a new trailer fleshing out the story and characters. For the first time ever, the origins of the Utawarerumono saga are coming overseas! Prelude to the Fallen follows the story of a man with no memories who awakens in a strange world, and is taken in by a tribe of kindhearted villagers. He is accepted as one of their own, eventually receiving the name “Hakuowlo.” When neighboring nations begin to encroach on his village, Hakuowlo rises up against the tyrannical invaders, setting off on an unforgettable journey that lives on in the songs of legend.
