PSP2, Switch 2 and an Xbox handheld... a brighter portable future?

American PlayStation Now subscriptions announced

Sony will launch a subscription service for PlayStation Now for Netflix style unlimited access to over 100 PS3 games, with more to come. The subscription service will be available first on PS4 across North America, and will come to the Vita and other devices in future.

Subs can choose from two plans: one month for $19.99, or a three-month package for $44.99 (about $15 per month). The subscription provides access to a large and diverse catalog of PS3 games, with classics and more to be announced. The current individual rentals will still be available, the new subscriptions roll out in mid-January.

The three-month sub is obviously the better bet, but it still sounds rather pricey for an al-a-carte service, couldn't they wriggle it down to $12 a month for a year's sub? The UK should be up soon but any firm news remains hard to pin down.
