July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Natural Doctrine patch makes life (and living) easier

Natural Doctrine got off to a rocky start in Japan with poor scores and weak sales. The western release should at least be off to a better start, assuming it incorporates the new patch that's out in Japan. Update 1.03 for Vita and PS3/4 reduces the games's toughness on the easy mode, which has been the cause of some complaint. Presumably, it is still a right bastard at the harder levels.

The patch also adds improvements to online play and adds a pair of co-op missions. Here's what to expect from the quirky RPG. See the Vita version in action here.
