July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Cult County, first person survival horror on the Vita? Make it so on Kickstarter!

The Vita is pretty bereft of first person titles and lacks much in the way of survival horror. So check out this Kickstarter from Renegade Kid that could see the Unity developed game head to the Vita. A portable versions is guaranteed if the game reaches its goal, and isn't some way-down-the-bottom stretch goal, which is pretty noble of the devs.

The rustic-looking,  game is picking up plenty of interest, starting out towards its initial $600K goal with four weeks to go. There are plenty of contribution levels and I'll chip in some as my first back project, Starlight Inception is very nearly in my hands.

Quick update, donate $15 and you get a PC copy of Mutant Mudds thrown in too.

Currently playing on my Vita/PS3/PS4/PS5
