Vita goes retro with PocketStation in Japan

As per the recent video tease, Sony has resurrected its never-out-in-the-west PocketStation LCD mini-console as an app for the Vita with the fun mini-games that came with some PS1 games. With games like Ape Escape, Grandia, Crash Bandicoot 3 and Ridge Racer Type 4 providing a rival for the Dreamcast's VMU.

Crash Bandicoot 3, Mega Man and Ape Escape are due out today, while Dokodemo Issho and others will follow in the coming months. Next to no hope of this hitting the west, but since the games are so simple, how about trying it anyway Sony, so we can at least give it a go?

Currently playing on my Vita/PS3/PS4/PS5
