July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Toukiden dated for Europe in 2014

Tecmo has announced that Toukiden Age of Demons will hit European shores on 14 February, lets add that to the release schedule. The monster hunting title has done pretty well in Japan and should offer a bit more exploring than Soul Sacrifice provides, and tide us over until a hope-and-pray release for God Eater 2.


Looking at that release list, and somewhat randomly, I reckon Sega will disband in 2014, its own schedule is as dead as some doo-doos, beyond a smattering of iOS games and its partner titles from Sports Interactive with ChampMan 2014 Classic for the Vita, and Creative Assembly's next Total War PC title. To think they used to be a big name in gaming! Honestly, go look for yourself!
