Possible new PlayStation Portal model pays homage to the Vita's OLED

While much of the focus on PlayStation's next steps is the PS6 and PS6 Portable , the two-year old PlayStation Portal could be getting a revamp according to those pesky internet rumours.  Update : Hints at pricing are around £/$250-299 for the new model, but everything remains deeply in rumours territory. Presumably the goal is to hit the 10% (currently 7%-ish) adoption rate among PS5 owners, something that would make it a bone fide hit gadget.   The recent February  PlayStation State of Play  saw no announcement. More Kickstarting love comes to the Vita, Mighty No. 9 a possibility

While Project Phoenix has now been confirmed as a Vita title on Kickstarter, and the Starlight Inception team have mentioned that a beta for its space shooter is now with Sony for approval, the team behind Mighty No. 9 is being considering portable versions of its Mega-Man inspired platformer.

Another message we have gotten loud and clear: A portable version of Mighty No. 9 is something many of you are excited about — and believe us, we would love to see it happen as well. Potential 3DS and/or Vita versions of the game are something we’ve been discussing since the earliest stages of this project, as handhelds are something our developers have plenty of experience with. Unfortunately, that experience tells us that these things cost money — however, the road to making them a possibility is relatively straightforward: If we continue to see more and more fans asking for portable versions of Mighty No. 9, and if we’re able to set and achieve stretch goals that would justify the cost, we would be thrilled to make this happen. In the meantime, we’ll continue watching for more feedback and start working up more detailed budgets just in case, so please continue to let us know how much of a priority this is for you. Thanks!
