July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Killzone Vita gets a new trailer

What do you expect from mercs? Killzone Mercenary's latest trailer has leaked out of Russia, highlighting the creed of the soldier for hire (anything for the right fee) and showing death up-close and personal or from far away at large scale.



Packing some seriously cool weaponry, the game might look a little angular in places, but if they can cram all that onto the Vita at a decent frame rate, gamers should be seriously happy about the proof of concept that the Vita can handle an FPS.

Is Killzone the right FPS? Well, that's up for debate, but we'll take what we can get, frankly. And, if that's the case, I want a mash-up video of gamers singing Montell Jordan at Activision, "This is how we do it..."
