Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? Of course, I had seen it in stores back in 1983, but at that time it was far too expensive for me.  Today, I own five Vectrex systems at home. Vector-based games ...

Sly Cooper: Thieves of Time? That'll be the six week delay for the EU version

Yep, Sly and friends have half-inched about six weeks of gaming life between the U.S. release of Sly Cooper (yesterday) and the EU release (29th March). To make things worse, the game is a massive 3.5GB file to download, which might tempt more people to order the boxed edition, and will add even more time in the bonus waiting-for-the-damn-postie game.

On the plus side, there is some trouble with getting the game via Cross Buy according to Sony U.S., hopefully that'll be fixed in the EU version. Although, since the PS3 version is more expensive I'd be tempted to go Vita only if you run both ways. Here's a comparison video between the two if you're not sure
