July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Uncharted and FIFA Vita titles stick in the UK top ten

While EA's mega-marketed new SSX game storms to the No. 1 spot, both the Vita's senior launch games manage to remain in the top ten, hinting that sales aren't dropping off a cliff as with the Japanese launch. Or, perhaps UK games sales are as poor as the continued struggles at UK retailer GAME suggests.

Either way, in an every sale counts market, its positive to see the titles not plummet out of sight. Wonder how many MotorStorm RC has sold on Vita, I think we should be told! Unit 13 is out this week as the first post-launch decent title, where will that land?
