July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. PS Vita's Ragnarok "selling out" in stores in Akihabara

After the decent sales figures for Tales of Innocence, more good news reaches the Vita this week with word that Ragnarok Odyssey is selling out in stores across the Akihabara district. This (translated) comment reckons that Ragnarok is pretty hard to get hold of, while there were plenty of Soul Calibur copies kicking around.

UPDATE: still seeing more posts from people trying to get copies, looks like some serious sales are in order for the 'rok


Of course, numbers of units shipped to stores could be a very different matter, but it looks like the Vita has its second decent seller in a row. The full sales figures should reach us next Wednesday. One non-native gamer managed to pick one up and does a decent guide on this video
