July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Dev video for Escape Plan explains those many gruesome endings

The minds behind Fat Princess are working on Escape Plan for the Vita, a unique black-and-white game of pain and suffering for the oddly-styled heroes. They wear the number of times they've died on their chests and the cunning puzzles use the Vita's various technologies to help you interact and try and keep those numbers down, or rack them up to see how many entertaining ways they can be disinterred.



Its always good to see new ideas when a console launches, alongside the classics. And, while this doesn't scream massive sales, it is certainly one that true gamers should find an enjoyable challenge.
