July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Sony Announces PSP Game Dual-Packs

In a new attempt to repackage its old tat legacy content, Sony U.S. is bundling games together at the super cheap price of $14.99 for two whole PSP games.



The first list of packs includes:

Secret Agent Clank and Daxter
Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow and Killzone Liberation
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo

and there will probably be more to come. If only the first PSP had come with dual sticks, perhaps there would be no need for these dual-packs (which dyslexics will have read as duck pals and be confused)! Secret Agent Clank is the only duffer on the list so far, with everything else sounding rather top notch - so its likely you'll already have one game and not want the other... surely a buy one... get one free deal would have been better at this price?
