Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  Update: the Vectrex Kickstarter is live and blew past its first funding goal in ab out 15 minutes, and approaching £450K and 2,500 backers in its first day.   His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! Praying for Push Updates on the PSP2

Having seen Fieldrunners get a hefty update on the iPhone, I checked the PSP store to see if our version was getting some extra-level love this Christmas. Then I noticed there is no real update mechanism for PSP download games.

You have to go to the XMB, game menu, access each game and use the Update feature to check if there is one. That's not a good user experience, and its made worse by the fact that not one of the games I own has been updated, which is a pretty poor show, given how smartphone games thrive on giving their users updates and extras.

So, that's one thing the PSP2 design can fix. Its a simple enough feature that the iPhone demonstrates perfectly... so come on Sony, catch up with the pack!
