Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! I only really discovered the console world in the late 90s, which is when I got my very first Vectrex. Of course, I had seen it in stores back in 1983, but at that time it was far too expensive for me.  Today, I own five Vectrex systems at home. Vector-based games ...

Retro adventure Football Game kicks off on Vita this week

No, it won't take the place of a new FIFA, just as well the old ones are still perfectly playable. However, Football Game, from Cloak and Dagger Games, is a point-and-click adventure for Vita owners to boot about. Well-rated on Steam, the Vita version lands this week.

Anyway, the football is American and this a typical American high-school/college romp between a star player who's supposed to get the girl, but ends up in a mystery 80s adventure, with the usual cast of teachers, jocks and nerds.

Cloak and Dagger have a few adventures up their sleeves, so hopefully Ratalaika can port those too. A short adventure, it has a cool soundtrack too, so check it out and enjoy the nostalgia.
