PSP2, Switch 2 and an Xbox handheld... a brighter portable future?

Minecraft and PSO 2 v3 splash into the Japanese chart

This week's Media Create chart sees a flurry of activity, but that's just the calm before next week's storm. Minecraft, already having sold over 200,000 on digital, makes its way into the retail market with another 36K sales, while the latest update to Phantasy Star Online also shifts a hefty 26K, with Digimon moving another 20K, after last week's low stock launch.

On the hardware front, once again the Vita outsold the new LL 3DS, shifting 21.5K units while the PS4 is now picking up steam ahead of both of them on 46K. Even so, I have to wonder what Type-0 would have sold if it had arrived on the Vita? It would also have helped if Sony could tie the Vita launch of Resident Evil R2 to that of the main consoles!
