Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? I’ve always been passionate about retro-gaming, but my first love was computers rather than consoles — the ZX81, then the Commodore 128. I only really discovered the console world in the late 90s, which is when I got my very first Vectrex. Vita bargain of the day, Sonic All Stars £10, CoD £15

Already got this - my kids loved it - but if you don't own the Vita's only Sonic outing, well worth picking up as one of the fastest, brightest racing games out there, now on Amazon UK for only £10. I wonder if Sega will follow the Virtua Tennis strategy of a permanent price cut, or if this is only a seasonal offer? (It is cheap across all formats, should you prefer racing on a big screen).

The release list is sadly bereft of further Sega offerings for the west, so far! If you want something a little more violent, then you could try out the much maligned, but heavily patched, Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified (Vita) which is now a more reasonable £14.99 in a CoD sale on the EU PSN.

Over on Argos, Tearaway is only £15, while ShopTo.net has Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends for £17.86
