July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Heart Forth Alicia crashes past Kickstarter funding goal, Vita version under discussion

Self-described Metroidvania RPG (but isn't everything these days :)...) Heart Forth, Alicia from Alonso Martin has crashed through its $60K funding goal in a matter of days and stands at $105K at the time of writing.

Why should you care? Because in the latest update the developers are discussing the possibility of a PS Vita version, which they are keen to do. Given the support of now-official industry legend Shahid Kamal Ahmad, I'm sure that could be made to happen. Check out the KS page for some cracking visuals and plenty of juicy info that should make anyone contribute if a Vita version is confirmed.
