I saw this on Kickstarter many months ago, and now see its moved from PC/Linux only to Wii U too. If Shahid and his indie crew are after a perfect racing game for the Vita (and since Sega seems to have retired Daytona, and Namco can't do proper Ridge Racer games anymore) this seems a pretty cool fit. The developers have previous PSP history, and it is being developed in Unity so there's some hope of them taking an interest in any indie overtures.
The game is also being developed on a pretty small budget, and any cash Sony could offer could help the title along to fruition. Perhaps it'd be a little odd to see Sony helping a game that's appearing on a Nintendo platform, but that's the way of the world these days.
