July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Runner2 from BitTrip to get extra DLC on Vita

Currently out on PS3, Runner2 is coming to the Vita thanks to the folks at BitTrip, and it'll come with a new bunch of DLC that's being launched. It comes with a host of familiar characters from popular indies including Raz (Psychonauts), Quote (Cave Story), Josef (Machinarium), Dr. Fetus (Super Meat Boy), Spelunky Guy (Spelunky), and Invisible CommanderVideo as playable characters in Runner2.



Known as the Good Friends Character Pack, the developers promise that it will indeed be available for the Vita version when it ships. More on the US PSN blog.
