Call of Duty Declassified 2 in the works?

If you can forgive Activision and its hired developers for botching the original game not once, but twice, then you might be tempted to form a queue for the sequel. With the engine intact and a clear list of what to fix, plus a decent period of time to develop content and learn from the first one, it might be quite the result. Of course, this does rely on them not doing an EA FIFA 13 with it.

The info came from an Activision's Social Media Manager tweeting "I announce with great joy that will be a Call of Duty Black Ops Declassifed 2 for Winter 2013". That tweet was rapidly taken down (but you can see it here).

Was his accounted misused by a colleague, hacked by a joker, is this all a fake or has he really jumped the gun on this? Personally, it does seem an odd thing for a seasoned pro to post so far out-of-season, especially without a press release to back it up. So, consider my sceptical for now.

Of his existing tweets, he does mention he has heard nothing about Declassified DLC, in case you were wondering. What do you think the chances of a sequel are, and who would you like to see develop it, and do the title justice?
