July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Uncharted Golden Abyss gets a patch ahead of Fight for Fortune

Sony's Bend Studio has just released a 90MB patch for Uncharted Golden Abyss, enabling you to collect and unlock cards for use in the upcoming Fight for Fortune game. It also increases the frequency of bounty drops in the game.

This is be a good opportunity for another run through of the Vita's best-selling game so far, if the card has been tucked away in your game box, allowing you to stock up on game cards for the release of FfF.


The game won best handheld title at the recent Golden Joystick awards and was the subject of a very detailed post-mortem on Gamasutra. Sony Bend are currently hiring for their next Vita project, which we can only hope is as good.
