PSP2, Switch 2 and an Xbox handheld... a brighter portable future?

The bigger your Vita's memory card, the faster things load

An interesting, if rough, piece of research from EuroGamer here, basically shows that the larger your PS Vita memory card, the faster files will transfer, games will load and so on. While it points out that the cards are slower than their generic counterparts in the SD market, there could be a whole lot of extra security going on to monitor data access as part of Sony's anti-piracy system as well as the Vita's multi-tasking capabilities.

Whatever the technical stuff, the summary seems to be, if you can afford it, go for a 16GB and if you can really afford it, import a 32GB card from abroad. That way you'll spend less time twiddling your thumbs and more time mashing them into the buttons. Another takeaway seems to be on one is buying 4GB cards, really Sony what were you thinking of with them? Read about my own storage woes here.
