Skype Confirms PS Vita Support

Skype has just confirmed what Sony mentioned on its GamesCom press event, that the voice-over-IP service will appear on the PS Vita. Users will be able to connect with a wide range of friends and family while on-the-go, using the next generation portable entertainment system's built-in network connectivity.

The interface looks pretty slick and is a useful addition in this supposed battle against the smartphones. This along with dedicated Twitter and Facebook apps will add about 75% of the stuff I use my iPhone for into the Vita, making all that its not a smartphone crap rather redundant.
