PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. StarDrone for Sony Vita, Pretty and Sparkly

BeatShaper's is bring the fun-looking arcade/puzzler to the Sony Vita that makes use of the touch controls. In the game, you control the trajectory of a spaceship launched in a zero-gravity environment via the centrifugal force generated by connecting and disconnecting its energy beam to special anchor points.

It features a top-down perspective, and players pilot their spaceship across the galaxy, collecting pieces of Equilibrix in order to restore the balance of the universe and stop the expansion of evil race of G-Noids. It basically plays like pinball-meets-Breakout-meets-shoot-em-up, using the Vita’s front multi-touch display and multi-touch rear pad to select anchor points, fight enemies and interact with the rich game environments. StarDrone’s game mechanics is simple, but at times challenging, flashing back into the good old arcade days.

Currently playing on my Vita/PS3/PS4/PS5
